SAT

Aminoglycoside N-acetyltransferases modify a specific amino group on the aminoglycoside molecule by transferring an acetyl group from acetyl-CoA to the aminoglycoside drug; the type of N-acetyltransferase is named after which amino group it modifies. sat-1 encodes an acetyltransferase that specifically acts on streptothricin.
