Elfamycin efflux pumps

Efflux pumps are a common mechanism of resistance to antibiotics, as the antibiotic molecules must reach their target in order to be effective in inhibitting bacterial proliferation. Resistance to elfamycins can be conferred via the presence of an elfamycin efflux pump.
