Undecaprenyl pyrophosphate phosphatase

The BacA undecaprenol kinase can synthesize C55-isoprenyl phosphate and circumvent the biosynthesis pathway that bacitracin disrupts in its mechanism of action. This causes resistance via novel production of isoprenyl phosphate.
